James M. Santos

Sr. Director of Property Management

James (Jim) Santos has more than 40 years of experience in Property Management. As Director of Property Management for Dreyfuss, Mr. Santos supervises a staff of professional Regional Managers overseeing residential and commercial properties located in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Pennsylvania.

 

Over the years, Mr. Santos has accumulated extensive experience in all aspects of multi-family and commercial real estate. From management and operation to redevelopment and acquisition, he has encountered a variety of scenarios. His strengths include financial analysis, communication, personnel management, contract negotiations, project management, mechanical systems, internal auditing and problem-solving. At the core of Mr. Santos’ philosophy, he believes in providing unsurpassed customer service, continuous mentoring of his staff and pursuing efficiency in operations. Mr. Santos has managed real estate at the site level, through portfolios and in a regional capacity. He has also accrued construction management and commercial landscape knowledge from regional positions held with organizations in the property management field. Some of his most rewarding experiences have been from the recruitment of staff, providing guidance and support, and observing their accomplishments and success in their positions. He is a student of leadership and believes in a servant-style method of guidance with staff.

 

Mr. Santos was educated at the University of Maryland University College (Business Administration)

Jackie Wert

Director of Property Management

CAM

Jacqueline (Jackie) Wert was promoted to Assistant Director of Property Management beginning of 2019. Jackie has over 16 years of experience in the Property Management industry and has been with Dreyfuss Management for more than 5 years. After graduating from Property Management University in 2001, Jackie went on to earn a Certified Apartment Manager designation in 2020. She currently manages a portfolio of apartment communities located in Maryland and Pennsylvania, including garden apartments, townhomes and high rises. She is responsible for managing daily operations of the communities and the on-site teams.

 

Mrs. Wert is married and the proud mother of 4 amazing and successful children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In addition, she is an avid walker and has participated in 15 charity walks, walking over 213 miles and raising more than $25,000 for charity.



Linda Cline

Human Resources Director

Fair Housing Officer

Linda Cline has been an integral part of the Dreyfuss team since 1999, right after she immigrated to US from Sweden in 1998. Over the years, she has been employed in many roles at the company, starting as a part-time Leasing Consultant, Executive Assistant to the Director of Property Management and then the Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President.

 

Today Linda enjoys her role as Dreyfuss’ Human Resources Director and Fair Housing Officer. Linda has earned a Human Resources Management Certificate from Montgomery College and she also got certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).

 

As our Fair Housing Officer Linda manages all matters related to Fair Housing; she handles all resident Fair Housing questions and requests, she establishes training programs for all staff, and she works closely with our partners at The Equal Rights Center.


Brandy Clark

Marketing Director

As President and Founder of The Douglas Group, Inc., C. Brandy Clark was responsible for the start-up and success of a nationally well-recognized marketing and lease-up corporation for over twenty five (25) years in the multi-family management industry. Primary goals were working with both large and small property management companies, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) and developers nationwide in trouble shooting the operations of many different corporation’s sales and marketing strategies for multifamily housing (apartments) assets ranging from forty to ninety million dollars, per site, and to identify & implement highly effective programs in both marketing and sales. Her responsibilities have been substantial.


Douglas Porter

Chief Financial Officer

CPA

With over forty years of accounting and operational experience with both large corporate and smaller entrepreneurial entities, Mr. Porter serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Dreyfuss Management LLC. Mr. Porter received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Maryland in 1981. He has experience in many different fields including real estate, software, telecommunications, sports marketing, computer hardware, and professional sports franchises.

 

As CFO, Mr. Porter currently oversees all aspects of accounting and financial activity for approximately 10,000 multi-family units as well as almost 1 million square feet of commercial/warehouse space. He works on behalf of various ownership groups. His staff is responsible for all payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking activities for over one hundred separate entities.

 

Mr. Porter is a Certified Public Accountant and is an active member of both the AICPA and GWSCPA.

Regional Managers

Meaghan Pacious

Regional Manager

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from Arizona State University in 2011, Meaghan Pacious joined the Dreyfuss Management team in the accounts payable department. She spent several years in the AP department, working a variety of different roles before assuming a managerial position. Looking to expand her property management credentials, Ms. Pacious began to work and study in regional management. She assumed the role of Regional Manager where her knowledge of our vendors, our tenants, and our company are a significant asset. Meaghan holds a real estate license in Maryland. Today, she manages several properties, encompassing both high rise and mid-rise apartment communities, throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.


Robert R. Harrison

Regional Manager

Robert R. Harrison IV has been involved in the leasing, and management of real estate assets since 1990. He started as a Property Manager for Harrison and Bates Inc., served as Principle of Harrison & Associates Inc., worked as a Commercial Property Manager for S.L. Nusbaum Realty Company, served as a Senior Property Manager for GVA Advantis, Divaris Property Management Company and Regional Manager for Dreyfuss Management. Robert's experience covers all aspects of commercial real estate.

 

He has managed and leased retail properties from strip centers to malls. He has been involved in the management and leasing of office buildings both in the suburbs and downtown. This broad base of real estate experience, leadership, employee and client orientation combine to make Robert well suited to add value to a strong organization poised for growth in Property Management.


Latoya Thorne

Regional Manager

Latoya Thorne started with Dreyfuss Management in 2014 as a Property Manager managing a three-property portfolio in Washington, D.C. Since then, Latoya has earned promotions to Senior Property Manager, Assistant Regional Manager to now her most recent promotion to Regional Manager. Latoya’s leadership experience has proven to be essential as it has prepared her for her current role. Latoya currently oversees a portfolio totaling five properties in DC and Prince George’s County, Maryland. Latoya’s management style along with her skills, ability, and passion to motivate her peers and team is the driving force behind it all.

 

With over 20 years of experience in the residential property management industry, Latoya has gained the knowledge and experience by working from the ground up starting as a Leasing Consultant, while in this role she quickly realized that her passion in the property management industry and gave her first hand understandings on the inner workings of property operations, the appreciation for managing residents’ homes and the supervision of personnel. The job of a leader is to inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.


Luis Cabrera

Regional Manager

Luis Orlando Cabrera has been dedicated to property management industry for the past 18 years and counting. He started his career as an Administrative Assistant and discovered a career that would guarantee him a unique experience every day. Throughout the years, Luis wore many hats in property management, and each delivered a different adventure in which he can refer to and exercise today. Luis is always excited in the day-to-day activities and eager to make a difference. Education is incredibly important, and he strives to learn regularly. Luis recently obtained his Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential. He also holds a degree in Business Administration and is currently seeking other educational opportunities. Luis exudes optimism and has learned through living that he is the sole owner of his attitude and mindset.

 

Luis is the oldest of three, a devoted husband and father of two beautiful children. He is from the Dominican Republic and has a passion for cycling. He chooses to leave his home every day to conquer the world and “Make it a great day.”


Rosemary Diaz

Regional Manager

Rosemary Diaz started her career in property management in 2003 and became property manager in 2007, working her way up to become Regional Manager overseeing flagship properties which included townhouses, garden style and mid-rise apartments throughout Virginia. Rosemary’s passion for capital expenditures/improvements, renovations and enjoying the final outcome reflects her overall desire to make any community feel like home. Rosemary’s led by example management skills have allowed her to build a camaraderie among her peers. 

 

When Rosemary is not at the beach alongside her husband and her two kids, she enjoys volunteering at local nursing homes or packaging food for nonprofit organizations. Rosemary’s goal is to one day establish a nonprofit of her own which provides financial school assistance in her home country. 


Sheila James

Assistant Regional Manager

Shelia James started her career in Property Management in 2004. She began her journey as an Administrative Assistant. She is an accomplished Manager bringing 19 years of professional experience. Her focus is delivering strong financial results, cost saving strategies and excellent customer service. She has provided management services to a variety of different clients. Shelia is known for being a problem solver, effective communicator, relationship builder and leader. 

Shelia started by learning every role in a Property Management office. 

In 2006, she was promoted to a Property Manager and has managed properties throughout the DMV area. In 2017 Shelia was hired by Dreyfuss Management as a Property Manager for a property in Lanham, MD. Shortly after starting with Dreyfuss, she became a Senior Property Manager and in December 2022 she was promoted to an Assistant Regional Manager and now oversees two properties located in Lanham, MD.

 

Shelia is very passionate about her job and takes pride in building relationships with her internal and external customers.


Aaron Ebert

Community Manager

Aaron Ebert has worked in association community management since 2013. Aaron currently manages a four-property portfolio spanning across the DMV from Bethesda and Bowie Maryland, to NW DC, to Alexandria Virginia. Aaron focuses on bringing an upbeat attitude and calming aura to every property he manages.



Aaron’s decade long career in property management began with a job as the assistant engineer on a three-man building engineer staff. The building engineer background gives Aaron vital knowledge when working on various, common, and not so common, issues that may affect a community.
