Employee of the Month

 

The saying, “It’s a one person show” has never been more accurate than for the team at Silver Spring House. With only one manager and one maintenance supervisor, the two have to make sure that they are running both of their departments like well oiled machines. In the case of our May Employee of the Month, Silver Spring House’s Maintenance Supervisor, Deyvis Valdez-Taveras, he not only had to make sure that his department was running smoothly, but he also had to do it while preparing for the 2019 Maintenance Mania.

 

Every year, maintenance supervisors and technicians from all over DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia come together to compete against one another at Maintenance Mania. The overall winners of the competition not only get to call themselves the winner, but they ...
